My First Tutorial

I've made my first tutorial. And it's so easy you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. Seriously.

Easy Sewing Machine Cover
1 pillowcase (I chose vintage)
Ruler or measuring tape
Marking pen
Sewing Machine
Scissors
Pinking shears

1. Get your stuff out.

2. Slide the pillowcase over your machine and measure the height. Give yourself an extra 1/2" or so.
3. Mark the pillowcase where you want to cut it. Cut it straight across. Turn the pillowcase inside out. Sew it shut.
4. Match the top seam to the side seam to make a little triangle. Measure as far down and you want and sew straight across. Cut with your pinking shears.
5. Slide over your machine and smile at your work! The end.

How easy was that? Seriously. And how sad is it that I feel incredibly cool for thinking of it?

It still sounds like chinese to me.. but I think you made it as simple as you possibly could. Looks pretty dang good :-) I love the vintage pillow cases as well. Reminds me of sleeping at grandmas when I was a little girl.

LOL on the Chinese.

My sewing machine is in it's little plastic cover because it has to stay in the garage due to lack of space. Poor thing.

But...I'm thinking I could make a cover for my mixer!

That is very cute.

i made a sewing machine cover for mine a while back but i used fabric and it was much more difficult than this. i think i just may search for a cute pillow case and see what i can come up with.
