Sassy Flirty Apron Swap

I love aprons. L-O-V-E them. I am getting better at making them and I really like to swap them. It's fun to put together a little package for someone you don't know and then to get a little surprise in the mail yourself. It's been awhile since I've participated in a swap so I signed up for Lucy and Shawnee's Sassy Flirty Apron swap. The basic idea was a handmade sassy apron with a valentine theme.

This time I made a very cute apron that I had been wanting to try. I was a little intimidated by all the ruffles but I think it actually came out pretty cute! Sorry for the blurry photo. It was LATE and I was very tired. I'm excited to try this pattern out again now that I've done it once. Who wants a ruffly apron?

What I got in return was so awesome! How cute is this apron made by Alta?
I sent ruffles and I got ruffles! And the package she put together was really cute too. She even made me a card! All in all, I totally scored! So thanks Alta! Sorry the pictures of the apron aren't so great. I need a model!

Flirty Apron Swap

So I participated in the Flirty Apron Swap this last time around. The theme was Your Dream Vacation. My dream was somewhere tropical. My partner's was Ireland (which I love and really, really, hope to go back and visit again someday.

I sat down to start sewing the apron for my partner and my gosh darn sewing machine broke. And because I am, of course, a procrastinator I only had one week to jump on Etsy and find something suitable, get it and mail it out! Here's what I sent:

The cutest little apron

Irish magnets

Pin for the apron

My favorite Irish tea, the candy bar I had when in Ireland and some yummy steak sauce. I also sent her a menu for an entire day of Irish eating.
And here is what I got! I LOVE these colors. Sunshine and summertime. That's what it reminds me of!

Box full of goodies!

Fudge, taffy, and some taffy chews

I love this apron! And I really love the towel loop! Thanks Beverly!

Flirty Apron Swap

Alright you lurkers, here's some fun you won't want to miss out on!

The Apronista (UPDATED: Technically Deanna is THE Apronista and Shawnee is just a member of Apronists, but they are both so talented!) is holding another Flirty Apron Swap. This one's them is fantasy vacations! The last one I participated in was SO awesome and I got tons of great stuff from Tracey. So I'm giving a go again. Plus this time I'm going to actually MAKE the apron myself (I bought a handmade one off of Etsy last time.). So be fun and go check out the swap. And sign up! These ladies are pretty amazing and very creative and you won't be disappointed.

Swappy, swappy

On of my newest obsessions (I know, there are so many to keep up with) is Swap-Bot. Basically it a website you join that you can sign up for "swaps." There are MANY different types of swaps and it is so cool to come home and get something in mail! I heart the mail. I get that from my Momma.

Anywho. . .I signed up a few weeks ago for the Flirty Apron Swap. The rules were that you were to send a handmade "flirty" apron, two recipes and a kitchen do-dad, gadget or cutie that you thought your swap partner would like. I had great fun putting mine together for my swap partner (and I'm also the big dork that didn't take any pictures of it!). I didn't make my apron though because I'm just not that skilled. So I paid someone from Etsy to do it. I sent my partner a cute polka-dotted apron, two cupcake soaps and two cupcake recipes. See how nice I am? I push my love for stuff on others.

Today I got my swap package in the mail! Tracey sent me the most AMAZING package! She saw how much I loved cupcakes and made me a package with a bakery theme. It was SO cute! I was so excited to see it!

Check it out!
