I have a blog? WHAAAAAAT?

Oh hai!  'Member me?  I totally forgot I had a blog.  Completely slipped my mind.  My bad.

So let's see.  Update, update.

I'm 25 weeks along at this point.  And apparently the hugest 6-month along pregnant woman anyone has ever seen.  Or so I'm told my random coworkers whom I've never even had a conversation with.  Let me ask you. . .if you are a woman and you have ever had a child, what in your blessed mind thinks I want to hear you tell me how huge I am and am I having twins and goodness I have so much farther to go I'm going to be humongous?  Bless your hearts.

Jackson is coming along splendidly so I'm told.  I'm measuring just as I should be and my little munchkin likes to let me know he is still there and hanging out.  He is VERY low.  Crazy low in my opinion.  The only place I ever feel my little pumpkin head is right between my hips bones.  Sometimes I think he might just kick his way through!  I am finding that I feel him a lot more frequently on the weekends.  I think it is because that's when I'm laying around more or maybe it's just because I'm NOT stressed.

Changes are abounding everywhere.  There is some major stuff going on at work.  Which isn't stressful AT ALL of course.  Basically at this point there is nothing to report other than there might be some changes and we have no idea when those might happen or how they might happen.  Which being the control freak I am of course makes me not at all ready to pull out my hair.

Fall seems to have finally fallen here.  It's chilly.  And I'm digging it.  Fall is my most favorite time of the year.  There is something about crisp fall mornings and the changing of the colors.  And now I can break out all my pumpkin candles. Plus it means Christmas is only a few months away!

Okay so I think we are all caught up now.  I totally blame pregnancy brain for forgetting all about you.  My apologies.  Hopefully we can keep it from happening again.

Life Long Friends

Growing up my family moved around a lot.  Changed schools, houses, etc.  I was never really in place long enough to make and keep good friends.  When I was 13 we left LA where we had lived for 8 years and moved to the Bay Area.  In the middle of the school year.  Needless to say this was not a fun time for me.  On my first day at my new junior high I met this girl.  She was the shortest person I knew but was bigger than life.  She was funny and loud and refused to not let you be her friend.  I was shy and nervous and she stuck to my side and introduced me to everyone and pulled me right into her circle.  The first words out of her mouth to me were, "Hey!  You're Bree that Christian girl!  I'm Silvia!".  And from that moment she has been my best girl.

Silvia and I actually only went to school together for half of 8th grade and all of 9th grade.  But then we moved again and I changed schools again.  But it didn't matter.  In a way that I never imagined someone could she stuck.  We still saw each other and kept in touch all through high school.  Then college came and she went to San Diego and I went to Tennessee and we were separated by 3000 miles.  And again, no change.  She is one of those friends that I may not have talked to every week but everytime we talked it was like we had spoken just five minutes ago.  Every summer when we came home from school we would see each other.  And when I stayed in TN after college she came and visited me and we took a little road trip to VA.  Even after I moved back to CA and I moved to Sacramento and she moved to Fresno will always made the effort to see each other and spend time together.

Silvia has been the most consistent friend that I have had ever.  In my entire life.  She knows my secrets and loves me still.  At a time when I needed her the most she dropped everything and came right to my side to just be there for me.  We have seen each other through the worst break-ups and fall outs with friends to the happiest days of our lives.

My girl is moving to Philly.  In fact she landed there early this morning.  She got an incredible job offer and she took it.  She is going to be amazing.  She is going to rock it.  But I'm sure going to miss her.  I know that distance won't change anything after 20 years of friendship but still I miss her already.

Silvia, I'm so proud of you.  I'm proud to be your friend and so very grateful that you "stuck".  My life wouldn't have boring with you.  I love you and miss you and know you are going to rock!

Lovebug's Chocolate Factory

Last weekend we celebrated my youngest nieces fourth birthday.  I can't believe how big these girls are getting!  I wish they would just slow down and stay little forever.

Lovebug is our sweet's lover so my sister picked the theme of "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory."  Candy and sweets everywhere!  My sister is so good at these parties.  She decorated the backyard oversized candy, set up a candy shop where the kids could go and "shop" for their goodie bag.  There were marshmellows, pretzels, strawberries and vanilla wafers to dip in the two chocolate fountains.  And the cake!  It was so awesome!  The lady that made it did such a good job!

The kids got to make their own sugar sticks, jump in the jump house, played Pin the Gumball on the Gumball Machine and Musical Candy (like Musical Chairs).  For their goodies they got to choose from rock candy, candy jewelry, cupcake bubbles, brownies, doughnut soap, lollipops and candy bars.  So basically we sent them all home strung out on sugar!

Lovebug had a great time.  My favorite part was watching her open her presents.  This is a kid that tears through them so see what she gets.  Things she really likes get a quick hug and then she is off to the next package.

Happy birthday my little cuddler.  Tia loves you so much.  Now stop growing.

Rebecca & Anthony

A few months ago a coworker of my Hubby's got engaged.  They are young couple just starting out and knew they wanted to get married in Tahoe.  They needed someone to tag along for the day and capture their special moments.  They had seen some of my work and also heard from Hubby that I was shooting weddings with the Memory Journalists.  So I met up with Rebecca & Anthony and we hit it off and they decided I was just the gal to make sure they got the photographs they wanted.

They got married a few weeks ago but I realized I never shared with you their esession we did.  I'm slowly working through the wedding shots but wanted to show you what came before!

I met up with them in Old Folsom and we wandered around before ending up by the river.  Which is very fitting because both Rebecca and Anthony are AVID fishermen.  I mean tournaments, all day trips and getting up at 3 a.m. to catch that perfect fish.  I had a great time with them.  They are very funny and not the least bit shy.  They are also not afraid to poke fun at themselves which always makes it much more entetaining!

So congratulations to Rebecca & Anthony!  I can't wait to share your wedding pictures.  I'm hoping to have a little sneak peek done by this weekend!
