Butterbean's View

My oldest niece got a hold of the camera.  She had a grand 'ol time.  I love that she was so into it.  I think I'm going to have to buy her a camera.

The girls head back to school in just a week.  I can't believe my oldest niece is going to be in first grade and my youngest in kindergarten.  It's going way to fast.  Slow down little ladies.  Tia loves you just the way you are.

My Favorite Girls

If you have been hanging around this site for any length of time you know how much I adore my nieces. They are the funniest little human beings I've ever met.  My youngest niece, the Lovebug, seems to be the most excited about Jackson's arrival and also very concerned about the size of my belly.  She's asked me more than once, "Why you belly so big?"  And the other day when she was at my house she stuck her ear to my belly and told me that Jackson told her that he is ready to come out and play with her and that he loves her very much.

My oldest niece, my Butterbean, has proudly declared that she believe Jackson's is going to be a genius.  I believe she is probably right.  I had a dream the other night about her holding him and cooing at him.  She also asked me a few weeks ago when he was going to come out.  I told her in February and she asked if that was after Christmas.  I said yes it was and she sighed and said, "That's forever from now."  I agree kid.

I took the girls out a few weeks ago to get some fall pictures of them.  Here's a few of my favorites.

Lovebug's Chocolate Factory

Last weekend we celebrated my youngest nieces fourth birthday.  I can't believe how big these girls are getting!  I wish they would just slow down and stay little forever.

Lovebug is our sweet's lover so my sister picked the theme of "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory."  Candy and sweets everywhere!  My sister is so good at these parties.  She decorated the backyard oversized candy, set up a candy shop where the kids could go and "shop" for their goodie bag.  There were marshmellows, pretzels, strawberries and vanilla wafers to dip in the two chocolate fountains.  And the cake!  It was so awesome!  The lady that made it did such a good job!

The kids got to make their own sugar sticks, jump in the jump house, played Pin the Gumball on the Gumball Machine and Musical Candy (like Musical Chairs).  For their goodies they got to choose from rock candy, candy jewelry, cupcake bubbles, brownies, doughnut soap, lollipops and candy bars.  So basically we sent them all home strung out on sugar!

Lovebug had a great time.  My favorite part was watching her open her presents.  This is a kid that tears through them so see what she gets.  Things she really likes get a quick hug and then she is off to the next package.

Happy birthday my little cuddler.  Tia loves you so much.  Now stop growing.

Quotes from Butterbean

These conversations has been abbreviated in order to save your sanity. No one can talk like a 5 year old!

Said to my sister while I was on my way to pick her up:
Sister: Butterbean, your sister is really sick and I need you to help me. Can you get me a diaper and a washcloth and a towel.

Butterbean: I have to do all this work and I'm not even 17 yet!

On the drive to my house:
Butterbean: Tia! I can't see! The sun is so bright it's burning my eyes.

Me: Do you want me to roll up your window or do you want my sunglasses to wear?

Butterbean: I want your sunglasses. Stinkin' old sun.

After we made cupcakes:
Butterbean: This one is for me and this one is for J (her cousin). He's so cute I'm going to give him a big kiss.

Butterbean Turn's 5

YES. FIVE. I'm going to die. I'm a 1000 years old. My niece is turning FIVE. SOB.

On Saturday, my fabulous sister, being the fabulous mom that she is threw a cowgirl party for my little niece. Complete with a petting zoo and ponies. YES. PONIES. She wins the mom award.

I thought Gracie was going to DIE of pure joy. She loves animals, she loves cowgirls and now that she is in school loves all her little friends. Throw in some candy, cake and presents and boy howdy she is happy for a month.

Each kid got a cowboy hat and their face painted. And the little favors were all wrapped up in hanky's. So cute! All the kids just about lost their mind when the animals showed up. And the pig was hilarious. Squeeled like it was being led to the slaughter. All in all a really fun day.

Happy Birthday Butterbean. Tia loves you so much and can't believe you are already 5.

Geez, lighten up.

Okay, so MAYBE, just MAYBE my last post was just a teeny, weeny, itsy, bitsy harsh. I'm having a week people. So let's lighten the mood with pictures of my ever-so-funny and always entertaining nieces.

Last Saturday we celebrated dear little Lovebugs birthday. She will be 3 tomorrow. She's such a snuggly munchkin. My favorite Lovebug in the whole wide world. Being the most awesomest Tia in the world I made 10 art smocks for her and her pals for her Arts and Crafts birthday party (yes, my sister is a genius. I'll tell her you mentioned it.) I am so very dedicated to my dear little LB that I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT FINISHING THE DADGUM THINGS. That's right. Not a wink of sleep for me. And to pay me back for my good effort some stupid bug bit me on my leg and it swelled up to the size of an elephants! Anywho, back to LB's big, fun day. Let's take a look shall we?

The birthday girl. How can you NOT love that face?

This is my oldest niece, Butterbean. And yes, she picked out her own fabric. So she's a bit flashy? Whatev.

I said, "Smile for Nina and show her your birthday smock!" and she said, "Bite the weiner, Rizzo."

I made these smocks people! Some peon's better get in them!

The one and ONLY time little L was STILL. I might rethink my plan on boys.

I leave you with this picture, dear readER ( there MIGHT be two of you but I'm betting on one.). I know you don't want to see 230 pictures of my favorites girls but if you do click on on the above photo and it will take you right to all the pics!

See now that I have purged my soul and filled it with pinkness and cotton candy I feel so much beter.
