It's 4 a.m.
I'm wide awake.
I couldn't tell you why. All I know is that at 3:30 I woke up and there was no going back to sleep.
So I listened to the rain for half an hour or so and finally said, forget it and got up. Here I sit.
This is an odd feeling. Being up before anyone else. The house is quiet. I'm listening to
Chrisette Michele. If you haven't listened to her do so immediately. She is the bomb. Her new CD comes out today. Her song "Your Joy" is what I danced with my dad to at my wedding. Moves me to tears every time.
This almost makes me get it. Makes me understand why people get up long before everyone else for this early morning peace. Almost.

i had that kind of night too. hope you have superhuman strength today.
I guess I should have got up with you. I was awake in my bed from 3:21 AM to somewhere around 5 AM. I actually thought about getting up and doing some blogging since I haven't in a while. Instead I kept laying thinking I will fall asleep soon. Weird night.
